Happy New Year!
Well we’re back into full swing with a hiss and a roar. Two weeks of holiday just flew by and were pretty wonderful. We’ve had a huge day today with many sales of Cycad revoluta, Hardy Sugar Cane palms ( Dypsis baronii) and Mini Majestic Palm ( Ravenea glauca).
Many of these were off to a frost free garden in Hamilton, so it’s great to see customers pushing the hardiness boundaries of those palm tree species above, in particular. I love the fact that there are frost free areas of the Waikato that I’m hearing about!
We have a winner!!
The winners’ of our large grade Chatham Island Nikau palm Christmas giveaway were Jeanette and Graeme Blackburn of Rotorua. They were delighted with their win when we rang them with the good news a couple of days after New Year. Jeanette and Graeme are long time customers of Coast palms and Cycads and when their names were drawn we couldn’t have been more delighted for them.
Enjoy your Chatham!
